Brixton People: Day 2

Another overwhelmingly successful day in Brixton Market... again, many thanks to my fabulous assistants Portia and Andrea, and to all of yesterdays people who spread the word and brought their friends today. I already have 60 photos which has exceeded my expectations of what I was going to achieve the whole week! So the exhibition on Saturday will be big... and why let it stop there? I am plotting...

Brixton People: Day 1

Woo! Day 1 done of Brixton People project. And boy, was it fun! We had such a good turn out... thank you thank you thank you to my assistants Leo and Chereise, and to all you wonderful Brixton People who make such beautiful models!

My name in lights

Preparation for Brixton People is fast underway... last night I spent the evening painting polyboards black to use as killspills, have managed to find assistants to help out, email invite out, facebook event up, flyers made....

and the project is in the South London Press!

So I'm getting very excited... please do come down and say hi, have your picture taken and partake in the delights of the newly revamped Brixton Village. I'll be there from Tuesday to Saturday, 11 - 5pm.

Walking on Clouds

I have just entered the following images to the very worthy Renaissance Prize, where proceeds go to the Lavender Trust. The title Walking on Clouds is from this beautiful quote:

When there's snow on the ground, I like to pretend I'm walking on clouds.

And that's exactly how I feel in the snow. I just love it!

So, a new year... a year of glamour, of change and of exciting new projects. A year which began amoungst the snow in Scotland...

Hulaboogie Christmas

Just before Christmas, I was invited to photograph Big Boy Bloater's final gig, which was held at the award winning Hulaboogie at South London Pacific. An amazing evening, if a little sad...
