Right Royal Campers

I am not a royalist, by any stretch of the imagination. And, if I could, I would happily pass over today's events. But it's such a media circus that the only way to cope is to embrace it. So yesterday I went and joined the many journalists, cameramen and photographers from around the world to watch in wonder at the many people who have been camping outside Westminster Abbey. It felt like I was watching people in a zoo, and personally I think they are all nuts, but there's denying there was a great atmosphere:

And today I have been persuaded to join the masses in Hyde Park... the promise of more great photo ops!

Back in September, I found a bunch of negatives lying on the pavement near where I live. I picked them up, but didn't get round to contacting them til last week - and what a joy I found! This is one of the images from the set, which depict a family holiday in Malta. I love the scratches and imperfections...

I have a plan as to what to do with the series... watch this space!
